Today we left for Nashville to see Dora's Pirate Adventure Live! I can't wait to see Riley's face when she sees Dora and crew. We had to make emergency potty stops along the way. It was Riley's first trip in big girl panties. At one gas station they had fireworks so we bought some because Riley loves fireworks.
After we got settled into our hotel room we went to dinner at Hard Rock Cafe. We walked about 3 blocks go get there and made Riley walk the whole way wearing her backpack. She actually wanted to and really enjoyed it. She got to experience her first revolving door there. She LOVED it. Once inside we ordered her a $7 plate of macaroni that she took 3 bites of. She also had a strawberry milkshake for $5. The food was actually reasonable except for the kids meals. Riley walked back to the hotel and we stopped to take pictures along the way. We stopped outside of a bar to take her picture in front of a horse. A guy tried to let her wear his cowboy hat, but she flipped out. It would have made a great picture.
Once back in the room we let out a sofa bed for her and used the coffee table as her stool so she could brush her teeth. We had a view into a loft next door. Riley loved watching the cat sleep in the chair. I was watching with her one time and the guy next door walked into the bathroom and used the bathroom without closing the door. I quickly tackled Riley and tickled her. Scary!
When it was time to put her pj's on Riley decided that she could do it herself. She put the tops on her bottom and bottoms on her head. It was quite the look and she was quite proud!
